Azure Systems & Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Azure Systems & Data Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. This role is integral to managing software deployment, data analytics dashboards, and system administration, particularly in Azure cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct targeted system administration tasks, focusing on updates, patch management, and basic troubleshooting on Windows and Linux systems, under the guidance of senior IT staff.  
  • Manage and execute deployments to customers of Flowstate software offerings. 
  • Perform light systems administration tasks, including Virtual Machine (VM) management based on templates.  
  • Provide help-desk support for internal teams, addressing technical queries and issues in a timely manner.  
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure continuous system availability and support.  
  • Assist in maintaining databases, applying best practices for performance and security.  
  • Work with various protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/SSH/etc.), including understanding their configuration and security aspects.  
  • Process and format unstructured customer data for engineers and data scientists. 
  • Develop, manage, and optimize data analytics dashboards, ensuring they are user-friendly and provide actionable insights. 
  • Collaborate with data science and customer success teams to understand their data visualization needs and create custom dashboards accordingly. 
  • Analyze user feedback on dashboards to make iterative improvements for better data visualization and interpretation.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.  
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with focused experience in Windows and Linux systems.  
  • Familiarity with Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, REDIS, Oracle, SQL Server) 
  • Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols 
  • Experience with visualization software such as Grafana, PowerBI, Tablau or Looker 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.  
  • Strong communication skills, capable of providing efficient help-desk support.  
Preferred
  • Proficiency in Octopus, Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services 
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)  
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes  
  • Experience with identity management and access management software such as Auth0, Keycloak, Okta or Cognito 
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL)  technologies;  
  • Experience applying and/or developing algorithms based in statistical analysis 
  • Experience in Angular and .NET, .NET Core, Redis, PostgreSQL, IIS, or Python 
  • Knowledge of field monitoring and data acquisition systems (PLCs, SCADA, OPC Servers etc.) 
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, such as Microsoft DevOps, JIRA, GitLab, and similar applications 
  • History of delivering software solutions to industrial customers
