Software Quality Assurance Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing and development within a dynamic and supportive environment. The intern will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the quality and reliability of our pipeline leak detection software.

APPROXIMATE JOB TASKS

This internship may evolve to adjust to our needs, but job tasks will be similar to the following:

  • Familiarize with Software Functionality: Understand the intended functionality of our pipeline leak detection software to effectively test and identify issues.
  • Manual Testing: Perform manual testing of the software to identify bugs, glitches, and areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Document software issues and report them to the development team for resolution.
  • Automated Testing Contribution: Contribute to the automated software testing codebase written in JavaScript. This includes writing and submitting pull requests to the software repository with guidance from a supervisor.
  • DevOps Workflow and Work Item Resolution: Assist in managing the DevOps workflow using Azure DevOps. This includes tracking work items, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Current enrollment in a Computer Science or similar field program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s level).
  • Coding Skills: Basic familiarity with writing code. Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus, but not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential.
  • Attitude: A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a professional setting.
  • Pipeline Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with pipeline (liquid and gas) operations is beneficial but not required.
  • Location: In-person work is preferred, but remote work options are available

This will be a paid, part-time position. The position can be remote.
